What is the story?

"Where am I? What is this place?". This is what you're probably thinking right now. And who would fault you for that? If you're here, you probably followed a link, or saw it on a resume. Well, I'll tell you what this place is. This is a place of serious stuff. It is the chronicle of a professional and creative journey. It's a place to find little scraps of inspiration or entertainment. It's candy store, or a theme park. It's big and small, less and more. Hopefully you'll like it here.

Development & Design

These are my most recent projects. They range from icon and interface design, to web development, to low-level programming in Assembly and C. Some have been made commercial, though most of them are open source or still in progress.

Clyde
A collaborative list-making web application written in Ruby on Rails. It was created during the first ever international Facebook Hackathon, hosted at the University of Waterloo campus in Waterloo, Ontario, and placed 2nd overall. Ruby • Rails • MongoDB

8 ball
An 8 Ball application for the BlackBerry® PlayBook™. Written primarily in Javascript, it uses the HTML5 DeviceMotion API to respond to rapid device movement (just like a real ball!). On sale for $0.99 USD. Javascript • HTML5 • Playbook

Zen Sayings
Designed for PlayBook™, Zen Sayings is a collection of wise, funny, and insightful sayings from South and East Asia. Accompanied by beautiful, hand-drawn artwork, it is available in BlackBerry® App World™ for $1.99 USD. Javascript • HTML5 • Playbook

Beehive Server
A simple, very configurable TCP server created for testing purposes. Written in C#, this application takes up very little memory and runs solely in the commandline. Plans to create a GUI are in the works. C# • .NET

Bokfritti
A fun Bokeh canvas, written in Processing. Creates sound from your art, art from sound. This application uses the JSyn plugin as well as the Sonia Processing library to generate its audio. Java • Processing

jTestr
A jQuery plugin that allows for extensive layout testing and tinkering. Includes the Lipsum plugin functionality, as well as class and id managers to facilitate css tweaking. jTestr is currently hosted on GitHub. Javascript • jQuery

GRT Api
An api that allows developers to GET all the Grand River Transit bus/route scheduling data. Since the data itself is public, this is a public API. GRT Api is hosted on GitHub. PHP

Lipsum
A simple jQuery plugin that inserts the "Lorem Ipsum" text into any DOM element. Lipsum is currently hosted on GitHub, jQuery projects, and Softpedia. Javascript • jQuery
